Booking & Payment: To secure your session, a non-refundable retainer of 30% of the total package price is required at the time of booking. Your date is only confirmed once the retainer has been received. The remaining balance is due no later than the day of the session.
Cancellation & Rescheduling: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session will receive a full refund of the retainer. Cancellations within 48 hours of the session are non-refundable. If illness or unforeseen circumstances require rescheduling, please reach out as soon as possible. I'll always do my best to find a new date that works for both of us.
Weather Policy: All sessions take place outdoors. In the event of heavy rain or unsafe weather conditions, we will reschedule at no additional cost. I'll always monitor the forecast in advance and be in touch if there's any concern.
Travel: Sessions within Haarlem are included in the package price. For sessions at locations outside Haarlem, travel costs (public transport or train fare) will be added and communicated in advance.
Image Delivery: Your final images will be delivered through a private online gallery within 2–3 weeks of the session. All delivered images are professionally edited in high resolution. RAW files are not included or available upon request.
Copyright & Usage All photographs remain the intellectual property of Kimberly Van Der Roest. Upon delivery, clients are granted a personal use licence, meaning you're welcome to print and share your images on personal social media. Commercial use of any image is not permitted without prior written consent.

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what personal information is collected when you book a session or make an enquiry, and how it is used.
What I collect When you contact me or make a booking, I may collect your name, email address, phone number, and any details you share about your session (such as the names and ages of children being photographed).
How I use your information Your information is used solely to communicate with you, confirm bookings, and deliver your images. I do not sell, share, or pass your personal data to third parties.
Image use Photographs taken during your session will not be used for portfolio, website, or social media purposes without your explicit consent. If you're happy for your images to be shared, I'll ask you separately, there's no obligation either way.
Data retention Your personal details and images are stored securely and retained only for as long as necessary. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting me directly.

Where do the sessions take place?
All sessions take place outdoors in Haarlem or a nearby natural location. I love working with natural light, open spaces, and relaxed environments where children can move freely. If you have a specific location in mind, feel free to share your ideas.
What should we wear?
I recommend soft, neutral tones and natural fabrics. Avoid large logos or busy patterns. After booking, you will receive a small styling guide to help you choose outfits that photograph beautifully.
What if my child doesn’t cooperate?
Don’t worry, children are meant to be children. I create a relaxed and playful atmosphere so we can capture natural smiles and genuine moments. Some of the most beautiful photos happen in between poses.
How many images will we receive?
Each package includes a set number of professionally edited images. You will receive a private online gallery where you can select your favorites and purchase additional images if desired.
Do you provide the cake for First Birthday sessions?
The cake is not included in the package price. Parents are responsible for ordering and bringing the cake to the session.I recommend choosing a simple cake in soft, neutral colors for the most beautiful and timeless look. If you would like, I’m happy to advise you on style and colors.
What happens in case of bad weather?
Since sessions take place outdoors, we will reschedule in case of heavy rain or unsafe weather conditions — at no additional cost.
When will we receive our photos?
Your final edited gallery will be delivered within 2–3 weeks after the session.
How do we book a session?
To secure your date, a 30% retainer is required. Once the retainer is received, your session is officially booked.
